Dr. W. Steen James

Dr. W. Steen James, board certified in Pediatrics, began her medical career as an R.N., later earning her undergraduate degree in early childhood development from Howard University in Washington, D.C. She received her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine, and completed her pediatrics internship and residency at Emory University Hospital, training at both Egleston Children's and Grady Hospital, where she was Chief Resident.

Dr. James is a pediatrician in Peachtree City, Georgia and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (Scottish Rite and Egleston Children's Hospitals), and Emory University Midtown Hospital. She has been in practice for more than 30 years. Dr. James's commitment is to the entire health of her patients: mind, body, and spirit. Her passion is the wellness of children and their families.

As a lifetime athlete herself, Dr. James wants her patients to grow up feeling good about who they are and to learn to live as healthily as they can, given what God has blessed them with. She and her family are residents of Peachtree City. Dr. James is married with two sons, and is a member of Peachtree City Christian Church, the Peachtree City Tennis Center, and the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce.
